The creation of these images came from photographing light sources around me and documenting places of comfort and discomfort in my personal experiences. Questioning the spaces we create and the blueprint of the cultural norm of them.

I focused in on the light and colours used in the rooms and spaces that i felt were most effective. These being spaces of strong artificial lighting and colour, typically being: hospitals and spaces of travel between your home and work such as streets and public transport. the lighting in these spaces brought insporation into the colours i would go onto use in creating the images i made.

Firstly i photographed these colours on a transparent surface and edited the images. The process of making these images was a personal digesting of the colour, creating in some cases completely opposite spaces and landscapes within the images to the spaces of uncomfortable artificial light used in the spaces that effected me.

To transform the colour and light into all new landscapes.
